Dr Knox - iEGO Out this week
The much anticipated release from the pen of Malaki and the craft of Wisdomtooth, although the album has been delayed by several months the finished article is something to be listened to. Dr Knox is an experiment in musical creativity an amalgamation of minds with influences from Hip Hop, Electronica and even folk. The first release by Dr Knox was on the compilation album "Leeds by Example" which has gone on to receive several highly commendable reviews in the local media for their chilled out ambient beats.
Malaki and Wisdomtooth have been friends for many years and after losing touch when Malaki moved to Seattle for several years have teamed up in the last 2 years to create the 21 track album that is available from the 5th October 2006.

Wisdomtooth on Radio One
Wisdomtooth got some Radio One love on the Breezeblock show with Mary Anne Hobbs. Radio One were down at Leeds' very own Sub Dub night at the West Indian Center and recorded Iration Steppas live set. Leeds By Example on it's way
Leeds By Example the album is finally on it's way in to stores next month featuring the latest up and coming artists to hit the Leeds Hip Hop scene. A collaborative effort has secured the albums success making Leeds By Example a winner for the whole city.

What do we have going on in the new year?
First and foremost we have two tracks on Leeds By Example coming out in 2006.
Nova Kane is collaborating with the freshest local talent Leeds has to offer on the MC front to deliver the first Rough Records Mixtape due out early winter.
Malaki & Big Ben seem to be working day and night to get their albums out under the RR banner
Wisdomtooth is pileing up a collection of tracks to be released as RR´s first instrumental EP
On top of all that we will be releasing a stream of Exclusive download tracks.
Plans are also underway to showcase RR´s talent in and around the venues about West Yorkshire so keep your ears firmly pressed to the ground. I guarentee these events will be off the hook.
....thats not all we have planned so keep tuned.
